Laaref Signs Contract Extension

Laaref Signs Contract Extension

We are delighted to announce that Adam Laaref has signed a 1-year contract extension, committing his future to East Fife until the end of the 2026/27 season!

The winger played an important role last season in East Fife’s promotion to William Hill League 1 and scored the vital goal in the dramatic play-off second leg at Annan, securing promotion and sparking unforgettable scenes of celebration among players and supporters.

He signed a new contract in the summer but was then cruelly struck down by a serious knee injury during pre-season, which has ruled him out for the rest of this season.

The injury needs an operation, and now that Adam has committed to a contract extension to the end of season 2026/27, the club is arranging for the procedure to be done privately before the end of this year.

The sooner the op can be done, the better the chance that Adam can be back in action, possibly in time for the start of next season.

Our friends at the Glory Days of Gold podcast have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help supporters play a big part in making this happen.

“I was looking forward to this season so I’m really happy that the club have put their trust in me to get back playing and hopefully give back to the fans next season.”

“Like everyone connected with the football club, I am delighted that we have secured Adam’s services until June 2027. There is no doubt we have missed him this season, and it will be fantastic to welcome him back to pre-season training next summer.”

“Adam has become a huge part of the club within the local community and was keen to continue his involvement at the club. I am sure that the fans will already looking forward to seeing Adam back in the black & gold next season.”

We thank everyone in advance for their support and look forward to seeing Adam back in black and gold.
