Alloa Athletic – Preview by Oli Anderson
MGM Timber Bayview Stadium, Methil |
Saturday 18th October | 🕒 Kick-off: 3:00pm
⚔️ The Challenge Ahead
Our second consecutive win at home last Friday night has greatly aided us in putting our last away day behind us. Celtic B played some slick passing football at times, though we showed our quality and experience when it was required to get ourselves over the line in a 5-3 win. Both Michael McKenna and Nathan Austin bagged braces, while Jess Norey also found the scoresheet.
Our opposition today, Alloa have also won both of their last games, and sit one place above us in 4th at the moment. It’s all to play for today, and whoever comes out on top will be in the playoff places following the full-time whistle.

🔁 Recent Encounters
Despite two convincing performances in the last two games against Alloa, we have come out on the wrong side of the result on both occasions. Most recently, Alloa claimed victory over Bayview at the MGM Timber Bayview Stadium in August, after a strong showing from the Fifers.
Before that, it was a penalty victory for the wasps, in the Premier Sports Cup group stage, when East Fife were a league below Alloa. Over the course of the 90 you wouldn’t have been able to tell though, and East Fife done everything except from put the ball in the back of the net.
