Match Preview | East Fife v Arbroath- Saturday 29th November 2025

East Fife vs Arbroath – Preview by Oli Anderson
📍 MGM Timber Bayview Stadium, Methil | 🗓️ Saturday 29th November | 🕒 Kick-off: 3:00pm

⚔️ The Challenge Ahead

We have to put last weekend’s disappointing defeat against Montrose behind us today, as we turn to the Scottish Cup, where we will face Championship opposition in Arbroath at the MGM Timber Bayview Stadium. The Red Lichties have a similar trajectory as us this season, in the league above, as Arbroath are also a newly promoted side, who have started the season well, and find themselves in the playoff places at this early stage in the season. Not unlike the Fifers, Arbroath are also aiming higher, looking to continue to progress in the league rather than rest on the laurels of a strong start.

🔁 Recent Encounters

  • The sides last met in 2022 in the Scottish Challenge Cup, with Arbroath the winning side on the day. Jack Healy scored late but it was only a consolation in the end as the Lichties ran out 2-1 winners.
  • East Fife’s last victory over Arbroath dates back to 2017. Bobby Linn scored early for Arborath, but a second half brace for Chris Duggan and a third goal from Mark Lamont meant that East Fife won comfortably, despite being down to ten men.

🕰️ Upcoming Fixtures
