East Fife vs Dumbarton – Preview by Oli Anderson
MGM Timber Bayview Stadium, Methil |
Saturday 6th September | 🕒 Kick-off: 3:00pm
⚔️ The Challenge Ahead
East Fife return to KDM Evolution Trophy action this afternoon, as we host Dumbarton at the MGM Timber Bayview Stadium.
East Fife’s purple patch of form continued last weekend, as the unbeaten run extended to five games following Fash’s late equaliser at Stenhousemuir. Two of the results in the last five have come in this competition so East Fife will look to keep that going, as a place in the top six would mean that East Fife avoid a Championship Side in the first knockout round.
Dumbarton’s only drawback from the season has been their points deduction, with an otherwise healthy start to the campaign. They tasted League 2 defeat for the first time in years at the hands of Edinburgh City last weekend, which is perhaps something that East Fife can look to capitalise on.
💛In Momorium
There will be a minute’s applause prior to kick of this afternoon for former club Manager Jimmy Bone. Bone most recently worked under Dick Campbell as the club’s opposition scout, aiding the management team in their preparations.
We kindly ask that supporters are in their seats to observe this ahead of kick off.
