Following a recent period of ill health, I have taken the difficult decision to step back temporarily from my role as Chairman of East Fife Football Club and take a short sabbatical to focus on my recovery.
This has not been an easy choice, but I believe it is the right one at this time. I want to reassure supporters, sponsors and everyone connected with the club that East Fife remains in extremely capable hands under the leadership of Vice-Chairman Donald Walker and the board of directors, who continue to work tirelessly on behalf of the club.
While I will be stepping away from day-to-day duties for a period, I will of course continue to follow the team closely and support the club in every way I can.
I am hugely grateful for the understanding and support shown to me and look forward to returning to my role in the not too distant future.
