A huge thank you to our guest of honour at Saturday’s match, Davie Beaton, who remains a firm favourite with supporters after his six memorable years with East Fife during the 1990s.
The former defender enjoyed catching up with many familiar faces at Bayview, including East Fife’s two-goal hero Andy Munro. Davie managed Andy during his time at Sauchie Juniors, and the pair shared a great catch-up in the lounge after our 2–1 victory over Kelty Hearts.
“I was delighted to see big Andy lead East Fife to victory in his first game as captain. It made my day because I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. It felt special to be back at Bayview and I am already planning another trip back. I had a brilliant day.”
Davie also reconnected with old Bayview team-mate Jim Moffat (now our goalkeeping coach), former Fifer John Allison, and Associate Director Leona Guidi, who first joined the club in 1990, the same year Davie signed, and has been part of East Fife ever since.
Thanks again, Davie, we can’t wait to welcome you back to Bayview soon!
Next Up: Our next special guest will be Barrie Moffat, joining us for the match against Queen of the South on Saturday 13th September. Don’t miss the chance to meet Barrie and enjoy a brilliant day out in hospitality!
