East Fife vs Hamilton Academical – Preview by Oli Anderson
MGM Timber Bayview Stadium, Methil |
Saturday 1st November | 🕒 Kick-off: 3:00pm
⚔️ The Challenge Ahead
Last Saturday we romped to our third consecutive derby victory over Kelty Hearts, winning 3-0 at New Central Park. The victory saw us climb to third place in the league one table and move 11 points clear of the relegation playoff place. We now sit just three points away from top of the league, and if results go our way, we could find ourselves on top of the pile come Saturday night, which would be a formidable achievement for a newly promoted side, considering the calibre of teams in the division this year.
Our opposition today is Hamilton Academical, who are going through a rough patch, on and off the park at the moment. After being handed their 6-point deduction, Hamilton would go on to lose at home to Queen of the South last Friday night, with the defeat seeing them slip to 7th in the league table. Today would be an opportunity for East Fife to make it two wins from two against the Accies this year.
