East Fife Football Club is inviting applications for a voluntary Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) position. The SLO role is a vital link between the club and its supporters, helping to ensure that fans’ voices are heard and that communication between the club, supporters, and relevant stakeholders remains open, positive, and productive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact between supporters and the club.
- Maintain an open dialogue with both fans and the club’s Board of Directors.
- Work to improve relationships and communication between the club and its supporter base.
- Attend supporter group meetings and represent fan interests.
- Act as a point of contact for supporters at both home and away matches.
- Communicate with opposition SLOs before and during matchdays to ensure supporter-related matters are handled smoothly.
- Liaise with the Disability Access Officer and Security Officer on matchdays and where appropriate.
- Prepare and submit a monthly report to the Board of Directors.
- Assist in sharing information about club policies, initiatives, and matchday arrangements.
- Promote positive supporter engagement in line with club values and SPFL/SFA guidelines.
Ideal Candidate
- Aged 18 or over.
- Active members of East Fife supporter group(s), but ideally not holding an official position within these groups during their term as SLO.
- An effective communicator with strong interpersonal and listening skills.
- Able to attend the majority of first-team fixtures, both home and away.
- Approachable, impartial, and committed to representing the interests of all East Fife supporters.
- Passionate about improving the supporter experience and upholding the club’s reputation.
- Comfortable using email and social media to communicate with fans and the club.
Additional Information
- This is a voluntary position, appointed directly by East Fife FC.
- SLOs will receive appropriate support and guidance from the club, along with opportunities to engage with SLOs from other clubs and national supporter organisations.
- The successful candidate(s) will be required to join the PVG scheme managed by Disclosure Scotland.
