East Fife fell to their second consecutive defeat, and their tenth in eleven matches, as Peterhead claimed all three points at the Balmoor Stadium last Saturday.

In his post-match interview, manager Dick Campbell made a rallying cry for supporters, stating that the club has fallen into “a relegation dog-fight” and need all possible support to ensure survival.

Peterhead’s opener came after ten minutes, and it was a magnificent strike. Dylan Forrest unleashed a tasty half volley which nestled into the bottom corner.

East Fife didn’t have to wait long for the equaliser, as less than a minute later, Destiny Oladipo fired in a beautiful finish from just inside the box.

Sadly, East Fife couldn’t stay on level terms for long, as Peterhead found themselves back in front following some slack defending. Ruairidh Adams made a strong save at the first time of asking, but Jason Brown was able to convert from close range.

East Fife made changes at half time, though they did not have the desired result and Peterhead made it 3-1 just after the half time whistle.

If truth be told, we huffed and puffed and struggled to make much else from the game. Chances were hard to come by, and Peterhead were resilient throughout and deservedly earned their three points.
